“BURZYNSKI” DOCUMENTARY DEMONSTRATES “HUMAN LIFE COMMODITIZED”: AUDIENCE REACTION
Judging from the passionate response to the documentary “Burzynski” – about a physician who many believe has found the cure to a variety of cancers and his amazing war with the government and FDA to bring the treatment to market – which screened at the Garden State Film Festival last week, it should have won the “Feature Length Documentary” award.
UPS DELIVERS A CRUSH… CRUSHING PORN EXPENSE… CRUSHED BY A ROBBER?… & MORE NOW IN NEW “YOU SAY WHO”… ENTERTAIN-PRINT DELIVERED WEEKLY
They were robbed. Oh, I kid… kind of.
The Paramount Theatre was a packed house Sunday with cancer patients, those affected by cancer and film buffs, all interested in hearing and seeing for themselves the story of Dr. Burzynski.
“It’s unimaginable what I saw today (in the documentary),” said Cheryl, who declined to give her last name. “I have breast cancer and can not believe what could be treatment-wise but is not because of the government and what will be some day because of that doctor in the film and his miracle.”
After the screening, I spoke with audience members and the film’s director, Eric Merola – who revealed a private supporter will be funding one week’s worth of screenings of “Burzynski” this summer in New York City and Los Angeles to make the documentary eligible for an Oscar in 2011.
Audience reaction to the documentary…
“I have lost my mom and dad to cancer and they were never the same after chemo,” said Mary Ellen Mannion of Wall. “This was eye-opening.”
“What Dr. Burzynski did is an amazing thing,” said Dr. Michael Schachter of Suffern, New York. “It is amazing medically, scientifically and legally.”
“This was the most important film I have seen in a while,” said Ginny Otley of Asbury Park. “Incredible.”
“My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and we have tried homeopathic treatments,” said Jordan Cox, 21, of Asbury Park. “The film was well documented. The stress that has been caused for the cause – it has to stop. The politics need to stop. People want power above people’s lives.”
“Thought provoking and disturbing,” said Janice Molloy of Asbury Park.
“’Burzynski’ was absolutely eye-opening to see how everything is driven by money,” said Beth McCrink of New York City. “The film is in your face.”
“It is not surprising the FDA is so corrupt,” said Beth Bernardo of Spring Lake Heights. “Everyone is in cahoots with each other and people are dying because if it. All those people in that movie have blood on their hands.”
“My daughter Sophia was a one year old when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given eighteen months,” said Joe Gettino with tears in his eyes, who came from Syracuse with his family to support the film. “We went to see Dr. Burzynski in Texas against the medical advice of every doctor. He never promises what will happen with the treatment and at first Sophia’s tumor got worse so he doubled the dosage.
“Sophia is fourteen now and great. There is just scar tissue on the MRI.”
“I would like to say ‘wow’ and ‘thanks’ to Dr. Burzynski,” said fourteen year-old Sophia who is looking forward to “maybe” becoming a chef when she is older.
It seems thanks to Dr. Burzynski, her options are now endless.
The documentary will be available on DVD in June at BurzynskiMovie.com.

I think this is the first time in US medical history, that THE TRUTH has been exposed to the general public so openly. These disgraceful events, in cancer and healthcare politics has been hapening since hundredth of years. Every succesful cancer cure has been systemati-
cally suppressed, not only in USA but in many, many other countries. The human greed is
universal. It is time to blowout this racket. The public should be protected of these bastards.
It is very sad to think that many effective cancer cures HAS BEEN LOST FOREVER and
imposed in place the worst cancer treatment (torture) in the world: MUTILATE, BURN
and POISON. GOD will have the last word. E. Escobar, MD (Puerto Rico)

Dear Mr. Virgilio,
Your articles in the Coaster are always refreshing and enlightening. I was especially interested in your column of March 25, in which you discussed the documentary “Burzynski”.
Your interview with director Eric Merola shed light on a purportedly miraculous cure for cancer and the downside of big money controlling our lives. Hopefully this film will secure widespread viewing as a result of the Garden State Film Festival, and Dr. Burzynski will receive the funding necessary to go forward with his research. His work should receive a great deal of publicity and his name should be mentioned along with the likes of Curie, Fleming and Salk . I plan to see the film this Sunday.
Thank you again for your informative and light-hearted articles.

Agree, Burzynski is a must see movie for anyone affected by cancer which is sadly just about everyone. Want to understand where cancer treatment is going and what big-pharma is doing to slow it down? See this movie. Best feature documentary of 2010 for sure.
