“TAKE A CUE FROM YOUR DOG”: “THE DOCTORS” REVEAL WHAT YOU CAN LEARN

Excerpted from a press release…

It’s a longstanding joke among dog lovers that the pooches can end up looking like their owners or vice versa…but what about acting like them? The hosts of the Emmy Award-winning syndicated daytime talk show ”The Doctors” suggests that, in an effort to relieve stress, your readers should actually take a cue from the actions of their beloved pets. See below for tips:

"The Doctors" airs weekdays. Check local listings.

1. Dogs have a natural desire to self clean and can spend 1/3 of their time licking their paws and the rest of their bodies. Take just 15 minutes a few times a week for an indulgent bath that is both hygienic and oh-so relaxing.

2. Man’s best friend loves a good belly rub. Get your own “rub down” with a muscle-relaxing and tension-relieving Thai massage.

3. Fido is happiest when he’s playing with his toys, chewing on his favorite bone or feeling the wind in his fur when taking a car ride. Translation for his owner? Stop and smell the roses!

4. An adult dog will spend 12-14 hours a day sleeping and taking naps. While humans need on average 6-8 hours of sleep a day, very few of us get that amount! Put down the cell phone, turn off the computer and take a nap for instant rejuvenation. Ten to 30 minutes is all you need – any longer and you may wake up groggy.

Tune in to “The Doctors” weekdays for more fun tips related to your health.
