There were 1o million – surgical (15%) and nonsurgical (85%) cosmetic procedures performed in the US in 2009.
Women accounted for 9 million + cosmetic procedures. Men accounted for 900,000 + procedures.
People age 35 to 50 had the most procedures – almost 4.5 million. People 19 to 34 had 20 percent of procedures. People 51 to 64 had 27 percent of procedures. People 18 and younger had 2 percent of procedures.
Americans spent almost $10.5 billion on all cosmetic procedures in 2009
