Asbury Park-area GLBTI business owners – here is a great opportunity for you and our city

The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce® (NGLCC) and Wells Fargo today announced they are accepting applications for the NGLCC/Wells Fargo LGBT Business Owner of the Year Award.  This award recognizes a small business owner for his/her entrepreneurial spirit and personal service to the community.

The recipient will receive a cash grant of $5,000 and will be recognized at the 2010 NGLCC National Dinner, An Evening of Courage, in November at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.

Interested LGBT business owners can access the award application by clicking here.

NGLCC and Wells Fargo support the accomplishments of LGBT businesses and are excited to highlight the efforts of one outstanding LGBT business owner. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Wells Fargo and NGLCC have joined forces in presenting the LGBT Business Owner of the Year Award.

“We are proud to offer this award together with the NGLCC,” said Shelley Freeman, Wells Fargo Regional President for Florida and national spokesperson for the company’s LGBT Business Services program. “Our two organizations share a mutual passion and commitment to the growth of the LGBT business community and we are glad to recognize the contributions of LGBT business owners with this award.”
