THURSDAY, JULY 15

Comic Maggie Cassella at Stone Pony (8 pm)

Thursday Night Welcome Party features the return of comedy at the Stone Pony for the second year.   This year, Aww Mama Productions presents Maggie Cassella and girl rock band BETTY, in their first appearance in Asbury Park.  Special guest Christine Martucci.  Click HERE for TheBPlot’s exclusive interview with Maggie.  Betty is a five-piece pop rock band fronted by Elizabeth Ziff, Alyson Palmer and Amy Ziff from New York City. FRIDAY, JULY 16

Lost at Sea (7 pm to 11 pm)

Start the night with cocktails on Convention Hall’s newly opened north, east and south balconies overlooking the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean and the beats of one of NYC DJ Max Rodriguez.  $15

Shipwrecked After Party (11 pm to 2 am)

The party continues with Shipwrecked! at Watermark (First Avenue Pavilion, second floor) with pounding music, crashing waves, and a crush of bodies all kicking the night off.  $10 (free for Lost at Sea guests)

SATURDAY, JULY 17

Yoga on the Beach with Arthur and Phil (10 am)

Ease into your morning with a centering yoga practice, including asana (the physical postures), pranayama (breath/energy work) and a deep guided relaxation on the Fifth Avenue beach.  All levels are welcome. Large beach towel recommended.  Yoga is free, however $5 Beach badge required by city.

Beach Day (all day)

Grab a towel or lounge chair and hit the Asbury Park beach – voted a New Jersey “Top 10 Beach” for the third consecutive year.  $5

Dodgeball Tournament (10 am to 2 pm)

Ironball Games & Events brings classic dodgeball to the sand at Asbury Park’s Fourth Avenue Beach with the second annual Gay Beach Dodgeball Tournament to Unite and Benefit the LGBT Community.  Watch the games from the boardwalk or sand.  

Sand Blast (noon to 6 pm)

The event nominated for Best New Circuit Event in 2008 and Beach Party of the Year in 2009 by JustCircuit Magazine. Enjoy cocktails in the sunshine, beautiful bodies and the most stunning beach in a hundred miles.  With a spectacular location facing the Atlantic ocean, the glorious architecture of Convention Hall as a backdrop, a 50’x80′ dance floor on the sand and the perfect music for a beach dance.  Advocate Magazine calls Road Trip “a high-octane weekend of beach parties, splashy art fairs, sports events, dinner galas and customized real estate tours.”

“The Who’s Tommy” by ReVision Theatre (8 pm)

ReVision is Asbury Park’s professional theater company and their new musical production of the Broadway hit rock musical “Tommy” will be performed on Saturday night at The Carousel Theater on the Boardwalk.  Use Promo Code ROADTRIP for your discount tickets.  ReVisionTheatre.org

Crush – the new girl party (9 pm to 2 pm)

For the first time in Road Trip history, a dance party just for the girls.  Crush, produced by Aww Mama, has taken over the Balcony at Paramount Theater, where the views of the beach, boards and city don’t get much better.  Get ready for a rooftop party like no other and be part of the first girl party on the Balcony.  DJ Nicole Otero spins.  $20.  AwwMama.com

Peek-a-Boo Review  (10 pm)

Most recently seen on America’s Got Talent where Sharon Osborne called them “…sexy and a little bit naughty” and Howie Mandel “wanted to see more”, Philadelphia’s premier neo-burlesque show will be at Asbury Lanes for one show only.  Come see the award-winning singing, dancing, comedy and classic striptease.  Doors open at 8 pm.  $15. 

Blackout (11 pm to 3 am)

Thousands of glow toys will light up the space at the bar Swell (Kingsley Avenue at Second Avenue).  “What happens in the dark stays in the dark,” said Brad Hurtado, producer.   Legendary pop DJ Steve Sidewalk will rock the dance floor with pop classics till the wee hours brought to you by New York’s own BoiParty.com crew.  Swell is a safe walk one block east of the boardwalk.  $15  (free for hotel guests using promo code SAND)

SUNDAY, JULY 18

Couples Yoga (10.30 am to 12.30 pm)
