“THIS IS HUGE”: MUST-READ RECAP OF EARTHQUAKE!

Security walks past the Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday

The best recap of this week’s earthquake came via email from a dear friend in California.  Lory sent me below (unedited)…

Okay.  When earthquakes happen in CA…we expect them, we brace for them, we insure for them, we pick up after them.  Once, when we still lived in our house in Morro Bay (BTW, still up for sale if you have friends who are looking), we lost a good number of shot glasses, that fell from kitchen cabinets (oddly, the lava lamp fell a distance of <seriously> 4 feet and didn’t break).  TRAGIC.  But we did find new, immediate resources for the delivery of tequila to our mouths…and later – new shot glasses.

But THIS.  Is huge.  I’ve walked those steps.  This is a piece of history for which you cannot secure earthquake insurance.

I’m blown away…
