THE WRISTWATCH HE WEARS: PRINCE WILLIAM’S EVERYDAY ROYAL TIMEPIECE IS…

asdfasdfasdfasdf

Prince William regularly wears a Omega Seamaster 300 timepiece.

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came face-to-face with Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z at a Brooklyn Nets game last night, the royal couple looked elegantly tone-perfect casual.

The media examined every stitch of Kate’s wardrobe (Tory Burch jacket and pants).  But William’s watch caught my eye.  What kind of watch does a man who could wear any timepiece in the world, wear regularly?

Answer:  A stainless steel Omega Seamaster 300, with a retail price of about $5400*.

From Omega’s website:  “Omega’s sporty Seamaster collection is a tribute to the brand’s maritime legacy. This exquisite example of our renowned watchmaking pays homage to Omega’s dive watch heritage and our adventurous pioneering spirit. This model features a color dial decorated with a wave pattern and a date window at the 3 o’clock

position. The distinctive dial is visible through a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The blue unidirectional rotating bezel is mounted on a 41 mm stainless steel case with a helium-escape valve at 10 o’clock. The watch is presented on a stainless steel bracelet.”

Omega introduced the understated, elegant and masculine-style watch in 1948.  Since then, a number of variations have been presented for fans of the timepiece.

Based on the photos we’ve seen, Prince Harry wears a Rolex Oyster perpetual with bright orange hands.

*According Omega’s website, William’s specific Seamaster model is not available however other versions are.  Pre-owned Seamasters can be found online from reputable dealers starting at around $1900 and rising depending on age and material.  The Omega boutique has a complete selection of new and vintage timepieces.
