WOMEN’S WELLNESS WEEK AT KUR: READ ABOUT THE FREE, EASY & IMPACTFUL CLASSES
Kūr Wellness Studios in Asbury Park celebrates Women’s Wellness Week, beginning today (Saturday, July 18) with a week of one free hour-long workshops and demonstrations every day focusing on helping women live a more balanced life.
“These free classes are representative of the shift in approach to health and wellness we are seeing,” said Troy Teeboom, owner, Kur. “Women come to us looking to lose weight, look great, feel better, sleep better. The team here curated these classes to introduce everyone to easy, affordable and impactful ways to achieve these personal goals.”
Women’s Wellness Week starts with the no-cost “Reiki for Balancing and Harmonizing”. Participants will experience deep relaxation throughout the body and learn techniques that they can do at home. Sunday at noon, Ayurvedic teacher Kimberly Kubicke presents a workshop on the Ayurvedic Diet, teaching dietetic guidelines that promote balance for each unique “dosha,” or body type. Ayurvedic is a 3,000 year old approach to wellness from India.
Monday, a demonstration of how to rid the body of toxins with Ionic Foot Detox will be provided. Later on Monday, a Yoga Nidra class will be offered with Yogi Alex Nairanovski. No yoga experience is necessary – all you need to do is lie down and listen as you rest, balance and restore. Tuesday’s classes include reflexology and Kundalini Yoga in Kur’s 500 square foot yoga studio. Thursday, women are welcome to learn about thyroid, adrenal and hormone connections.
Wellness Week ends on Friday at 9:30 pm with esthetician Andrea Neubart demonstrating how to make custom homemade products for the face and body.
