3,000 TO JOIN HANDS IN SHOW OF SUPPORT FOR THOSE FIGHTING CANCER: HOW YOU CAN HELPVia excerpted press release….
Area high school students are asking you to join them in wearing pink and creating a human chain from Jersey Shore University Hospital to Mary’s Place by the Sea in Ocean Grove on Sunday, October 25th at 7 am.
“We need 3,000 people to make a 2.1 mile chain, no running, no walking, no sponsorships this is just doing what you can to stand up and support all fighting cancer,” Mr. Richard W. Allen the Principal of Neptune HS said of the event. “Many of our students volunteer at Mary’s Place and they are always very kind to them. It’s time for us to stand up to show our support for Mary’s Place.”
Mary’s Place is a respite home for women who are receiving treatment for all forms of cancer.
All registrants will receive a check-in location a few days before the event. All participants are asked to give at least a $10 cash donation and wear pink in support of Breast Cancer awareness.
